In Reply To then why do you baseline everytime you go to the same dyno? (n/m) posted by ni[X]it on May 13, 2003 at 09:00 PM

Message you rarely get to do mods on the dyno.. you make runs doing whatever, then you go home... a bit later you make mods and come back. hopefully conditions are somewhat similar to last time you ran so you can see the difference. I 'baseline' every time I go to Speedworks because I'm going to use that run as my 'baseline' to start tuning on... actually the baseline just happens to be my first run. Shouldn't be called a baseline because I've done something to my car since the last time I was on the dyno to change it's performance...

What I'm talking about is it's dumb to switch dynos everytime because they (even if it's the same model) read differently. Therefore it's difficult to compare. BUT if you use the same dyno all the time, then the markings on the stick are the relatively same and you can compare your runs to your own or other people's on that same dyno (measuring stick)... just not from dyno to dyno.

When was the last time you *really* did something with your Z to call yourself a Z enthusiast?
